A beautiful sail out to the south cardinal mark and back. A good turnout at the club as both Cherubs and small cats participated.
In all, it’s been quite a busy week.
Assisting David in mooring Calm Horizons who returned after spending a few days on the slip scraping the cat’s hull.
Commencing the cutting and gluing of the bath tub, hatch and dinghy covers.
Ripping up the foam flooring and readying the vinyl tiles
Although a brilliant idea, we discovered the foam easily ripped, bubbled, expanded and held the grit: in general, it looked grubby.
The vinyl lightens the boat, making her appear roomier and lighter inside. A much easier surface to clean.
Lifting up the foam, saw us discovering yet another ant nest. Out came the spray for covering a region of the flooring in order to prevent the little blighters from escaping. With more ant raps laid, we can only hope this is the last of them, but I am not so sure: the queen wasn’t in sight!!!
