One word for today’s travel as we headed into the Swiss Alps: Spectacular!! Tomorrow morning, a chairlift ride up to the Matterhorn!

Blaubeuren, set within the Black Forest, home of the Neanderthal and early modern man. A delightful town with its museum, caves, water mill and architecture. On to Oberammergau tomorrow.

After a delightful day travelling, we lunched in Phalsbourg and are in the beautiful city of Strasbourg, France, for the night.
We hired a car yesterday and visited a glass factory that still uses glass blowing techniques from the 1400s. Today we depart for the French border, then southern Germany for a week.
Our trip upon the Vosges has come to an end and that upon the Mosel is coming up. See the unexpected little critter. I was so intent on the flower that I only discovered him sitting there when going through the pics.

Just pulling out of Porta di Roma. Next stop Elba, then top of Corsica. About a day’s sail for each. Has been a lovely stay here. Close to buses and trains and fantastic facilities. 150 euro for the 3 nights.
A beautiful afternoon was spent at the ruins of Nikopolis, Greece, yesterday. Highlights of the day were the mosaics and the Odium (pictures once we arrive in Italy) We are on our way to Messina, Italy now and should arrive some time Wednesday.
That famous saying of Bob’s: ‘What could possibly go wrong!!!!’ He shouldn’t say it. Now the toilet is playing up, and the weather is perfect for departure!
